NRL Round 13: The Winners and Losers

Melbourne = too good for Newcastle, even without Cameron Smith.
Parramatta = two straight wins after beating the Warriors.
St.George-Illawarra = too good for Wests Tigers, leading 12-0 and 16-6, helped by Gareth Widdop’s two-try return.
Sydney Roosters = tight win against Brisbane puts them in the top four.
North Queensland = had too much class for the Titans in Townsville.
Manly = brilliant first half and a Golden Point field goal was enough against Canberra.
Penrith = three straight wins after belting Canterbury; now only two points from the eight.
Newcastle = trailed Melbourne 16-0 after 20 minutes. Game over.
NZ Warriors = competitive against Parramatta, but still winless in Australia.
Wests Tigers = four straight losses after falling to the Dragons.
Brisbane = great comeback against Sydney Roosters, but it wasn’t enough.
Gold Coast = led at halftime but North Queensland dominated the second half.
Canberra = third Golden Point loss for the year and second against Manly. Still won the second half 14-0.
Canterbury = the Penrith massacre made it four straight losses.
