Rain stopped Australia’s progress in the ICC Champions Trophy against Bangladesh at The Oval Monday night.
Chasing 182, Australia were 1/83 from 16 overs before the game was abandoned.
The game was declared a No Result as Australia hadn’t reached the minimum 20 second innings overs.
Mitchell Starc (4/29) and Adam Zampa (2/13) dismissed Bangladesh for 182 in 44.3 overs. Tamim Iqbal scored 95 off 114 balls for Bangladesh.
David Warner scored 40 not out from 44 balls, passing 4,000 One Day International runs, the fastest Australian to pass the milestone and the third-fastest behind Hashim Amla and Viv Richards.
If New Zealand beat Bangladesh on June 10, Australia will face a sudden-death final group game against England at Edgbaston on June 10. Hopefully the weather will be kind.
