NRL Round 17: The Winners and Losers

Parramatta = the oft-criticised Mitchell Moses was the hero against Canterbury.
Gold Coast = Anthony Don’s hat-trick gave the Titans just their third home win this season.
Melbourne = clinical win at Lang Park. Look unstoppable
Cronulla = in second place after pummeling the Sydney Roosters.
Manly = now five straight wins after beating the Warriors.
North Qld = great win in Canberra.
Wests Tigers = finally off the bottom after huge win in Newcastle.
Souths = two straight wins after belting Penrith.

Canterbury = good second half comeback against Parra, but not quite good enough to win.
St. George-Illawarra = barely beat Newcastle and lost to Gold Coast. What’s happening to the Dragons after a promising start to the season?
Brisbane = looked like mounting a second half comeback, but Melbourne blew them away.
Sydney Roosters = still in top four despite losing to Cronulla.
NZ Warriors = let a 16-0 lead slip but nearly beat Manly in the closing minutes.
Canberra = four straight losses. Season over.
Newcastle = back in last place.
Penrith = two losses in a row, still outside the eight.
