NRL Round 22: The Winners and Losers

Parramatta = now a genuine top four chance.
Souths = brilliant win against the Dragons, but too late for 2017.
Melbourne = the Storm train keeps a-rollin’ to another minor premiership.
Newcastle = two straight wins for the first time since 2015. Could they avoid the wooden spoon?
Brisbane = strengthened their top four spot by smashing the Titans.
Canberra = big win over Cronulla. Is a late finals run on the cards?
Manly = trailed 18-4, won 36-18. Incredible.
Penrith = into the eight after beating Wests Tigers.

Canterbury = the season can’t end fast enough for the Bulldogs.
St. George-Illawarra = could be a quiet September for Dragons fans.
North Qld = still a top four chance despite losing to Melbourne.
NZ Warriors = at this point the hopeless Warriors should switch to rugby union.
Gold Coast = a bad night as the Titans suffered their biggest loss to Brisbane.
Cronulla = still in top four despite loss to Canberra.
Sydney Roosters = the loss to Manly hurts the Roosters’ minor premiership hopes.
Wests Tigers = now a real chance to steal the wooden spoon from Newcastle.
