Souths = building some much-needed confidence for 2018.
Newcastle = now it’s three wins in a row, they may avoid the wooden spoon after all.
Brisbane = friday night on Nine + Lang Park + big crowd + Bennett’s 600th Broncos game = easy win. Rinse and repeat.
St. George-Illawarra = a much-needed confidence boost against the Titans.
Melbourne = minor premiership all but secure.
Penrith = safely in the eight after beating North Qld.
Canberra = four wins from their last five, are they heading for a surprise finals berth?
Wests Tigers = they’re not getting the wooden spoon without a fight.

Canterbury = only three games left Doggies fans.
Parramatta = can still shoot for a possible top four spot despite the loss.
Cronulla = getting the Colliwobbles at the wrong time and ruined Gallen’s 300th game. Can they recover?
Gold Coast = at least they scored some points this weekend.
Sydney Roosters = they may have lost to Melbourne, but the experience will help come September.
North Qld = dropped to eighth after losing to Penrith.
NZ Warriors = now lost six straight.
Manly = loss to Wests Tigers could be crucial.
