NRL Round 24: The Winners and Losers

Parramatta = back in with a real top four chance.
Souths = won three straight. Where was this form when it mattered?
Brisbane = one step closer to a vital top two spot and two Lang Park finals.
Melbourne = another minor premiership sorted, the premiership that matters is theirs to lose.
Sydney Roosters = still a top two chance after beating Wests.
Cronulla = a much-needed win in Townsville keeps them in the top four.
Penrith = big win in Canberra gives them a seemingly unlikely top four sniff.
Canterbury = snapped a four-game losing streak, though too late to save their season.

Gold Coast = horrible end to a rough week. Can’t even blame it on the Bunker.
NZ Warriors = led 12-4 and 18-12 but still lost.
St. George-Illawarra = the finals freefall continues.
Newcastle = three-game winning streak over.
Wests Tigers = gallant effort with just pride to play for.
North Qld = in real danger of missing the finals now.
Canberra = brave effort coming from 20-10 down but it wasn’t enough.
Manly = still in the eight…just.
