NRL Round 26: The Winners and Losers

Brisbane = briefly in second place after beating North Qld.
Parramatta = top four place sealed after another Semi hat-trick.
Sydney Roosters = second place secure after a close one against Gold Coast.
Manly = earnt a “home” elimination final at the SFS.
Melbourne = nice tune-up against Canberra and ready for bigger challenges ahead.
Cronulla = sealed a home state elimination final against North Queensland.
Canterbury = building nicely for 2018 with three straight wins.
Wests Tigers = positive end to another poor season.

North Qld = finals spot still in doubt after losing to Brisbane, saved by the Dragons’ loss to Canterbury.
Souths = valiant end to the season.
Gold Coast = gave their all against the Sydney Roosters, leading 16-6 before a late fadeout.
Penrith = bad time to lose two straight.
Canberra = underwhelming end to a disappointing season.
Newcastle = completed the wooden spoon hat-trick.
St. George-Illawarra = goodbye 2017.
NZ Warriors = nine straight losses to end 2017.
