Heat ends Perth’s streak

The Brisbane Hest defeated the Perth Scorchers by 49 runs in BBL07 at The Gabba.

It’s Perth’s first BBL loss since 14 January 2017 (against Melbourne Stars).

Defending 6/191, Brisbane dismissed Perth for 142 (Ashton Agar 31 off 18 balls, David Willey 25 off 27). Brendan Doggett took 5/35 and Mark Skeketee 3/28.

Ben Cutting (46 off 20), Chris Lynn (39 off 20), Joe Burns (36 off 26) and Brendon McCullum (32 off 27) top-scored for Brisbane. Willey took 2/40 for Perth.
