Melbournian Andrew Bogut has unfortunately been released by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Andrew joined the LA Lakers at the beginning of the 2017-18 regular season where he was just averaging 1.5 points and 3.3 rebounds. Currently the Lakers are sitting on an 11-27 win-loss record and are in the last place in the Western Conference. Andrew will likely join a playoff contender for the remainder of the current NBA season.
Andrew, who is now 33 years old, is on his 13th season in the NBA. The 7-foot (2.13 m) center was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the first overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft. He earned All-NBA Third Team honors with the Bucks in 2010. He was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2012, and was named NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2015, where he averaged 9.7 points and 8.7 rebounds when the Golden State Warriors won the 2015 NBA Championship.
