Renegades clinch BBL finals spot

The Melbourne Renegades have finished third in BBL07, beating the Brisbane Heat by 26 runs at the Gabba.

Defending 3/187, Kane Richardson (4/35), Dwayne Bravo (3/25) and Chris Tremain (3/29) dismissed the Heat for 161 in 19.5 overs (Alex Ross 36 off 27 balls, Ben Cutting 35 off 18).

Matt Short (62 off 48) and Marcus Harris (42 off 30) compiled 75 for the Renegades’ first wicket; Short and Tom Cooper (65 not out off 36) complied 83 for the second wicket.


Perth (first) play Hobart (fourth) at the new Optus Stadium on Thursday 1 February, while Adelaide (second) play the Renegades (third) at Adelaide Oval on Friday 2 February. The final will be played in Perth, Adelaide or Melbourne on Sunday 4 February.
