Auckland Blues win Global Rugby Tens

The Auckland Blues won the Global Rugby Tens at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium this weekend.

The Blues beat the Hurricanes 10-7 in Saturday night’s final.

The Hurricanes led 7-0 for most of the final before Akira Ioane and George Moala sealed it for the Blues after the full-time siren.

There was good news for the locals – the Queensland women’s team beating NSW 10-5 in the final – while the Reds men’s team made the semi-finals.

The NSW Waratahs (second place in pool B) made the quarter finals, losing to the Hurricanes 35-24.

The ACT Brumbies missed the finals, beating Fiji and losing to the Crusaders and the Hurricanes.

The Melbourne Rebels also missed the finals, defeating the Reds and lost to the Panasonic Wild Knights and the Blues.
