Penrith 35-Gold Coast 12
Wests Tigers 38-Manly 12

WINNERS
SOUTHS = brilliant win against the old enemy.
MELBOURNE = back on the winners list after belting Newcastle.
ST. GEORGE-ILLAWARRA = six straight and a huge game in Auckland next weekend.
BRISBANE = probably their best win of the season.
CANTERBURY = brilliant rebound win in Townsville.
CANBERRA = earnt consecutive wins with brilliant defence.
PENRITH = into second place after a big win over Gold Coast.
WESTS TIGERS = nobody expected them to win any of their first six games, they’ve won five.

LOSERS
SYDNEY ROOSTERS = disappointing loss to Souths.
NEWCASTLE = starting to struggle after a promising start.
CRONULLA = two straight losses and a few injury worries.
NZ WARRIORS = winning run over. For now.
NORTH QLD = just one win from six games so far.
PARRAMATTA = first time since 1991 they’ve lost their first six games.
GOLD COAST = Improving, but struggling for consistency.
MANLY = back-to-back losses.
